Mrs. Terrie Lorentz

I have worked for Simi Valley School District since 1996 and worked as the office manager here at Katherine Elementary since June, 2000.

I love working with the children, parents, and staff.  This job gives me the opportunity to be a positive influence for our community.  I believe that children need as many caring adults as possible in their lives to achieve, be a success, and to feel good about themselves.  In addition, I enjoy being with the kids because they can make you laugh!

I am a native of Simi Valley and attended Hollow Hills, Sinaloa and Royal.  My daughter also received her education from Simi Valley Unified schools.  Both of us were well prepared to continue on and succeed.

Mrs. Melissa Soto

I have been a Katherine Croc, as an employee, for a little over a year now.  I have been part of the Katherine family, however, since 2011 when my daughter started school here.  She is now a freshman at Simi Valley High School and my son is currently a fifth grader here at Katherine.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Cal State Northridge in 2001 and have held positions mostly in Human Resources in Payroll and Recruiting.  I took several years off to raise my children, however when the opportunity presented itself, I applied for the position in the Katherine office.  I can honestly say that I love it here and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.  Each day I am fortunate to work with the most amazing students and staff!
