My Story

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher. I remember being a little girl and setting up my stuffed animals around the table as I studied. I would teach the animals about what I was studying with a white board and pretend that they were my students. As I got older, my dreams of becoming a teacher became more real. I began tutoring students after school in math. Soon after, I started working at Kumon.

In high school, I had a teacher who inspired me to become a teacher and follow my dreams of working with children. Not only was this teacher an amazing educator, but she truly cared about me as a person. Because of this teacher, I am a firm believer in the whole child philosophy- educating children academically, while fostering their social and emotional development. I am personally committed to developing scholars who are intellectually knowledgeable, physically and emotionally healthy, artistically engaged, civically active and prepared for life’s future challenges.
