MRS ANN HODGE 4TH GRADE
My Story
I was raised in the same small town where I began my teaching career in Virginia. After teaching fifth grade for a few years, my husband and I moved to Montana where I continued teaching - GATE and fourth grade. In 2000, we found ourselves in Simi Valley. I began teaching sixth grade here at Katherine that same year and continued to do so for over two decades. I have also taught many fifth-sixth grade combo classes. This year I have the privilege of teaching fourth grade.
I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Education and a Master's degree in Reading. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my favorite people in the world - my husband and fifth-grade daughter. We love reading, movies, music, dance, and board games. We value family and strive to always put one another first.
My personal philosophy on education:
-
All students can learn.
-
All students deserve an education; no one has the right to interfere with that education.
-
Parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.
-
A love of learning is fostered in the home.
